An Ode To My Sister ( poem written by my 13 year old brother, had to share)

An Ode To My Sister
By: Kristian Barboza

I Love you sister,
Even though you were a little sinister,
You Protected me,
Stood up for me when people bullied me

And when mother wasn't there,
You became the mama bear,
You were there when I needed help,
And I can't believe I wasn't appreciating.

I rebelled but you kept pushing, you tried,
Im sorry, i'll admit life was easier with you beside me,
and you cared for me,
Helped every time I had fallen.

I got lost, but you led me in the right direction,
Every where I went I expected perfection,
You helped me expect the unexpected
Every lesson you gave me felt like an injection, it would hurt

Sometimes i thought of flirting with death,
On this trip I would run out of breath
So I wrote this poem in your dedication.

Cloud 9

Cloud 9
It's my lover and my companion,
what we have no one has, what i feel no one feels,
It makes me feel things I've never felt before.
Yes! music is my lover,
Music the one thing no one can take away from me,
It runs in my blood
Music fills my soul and it burns deep in my heart,
a never endeing fire burning day and night.
Making chills go down my back,
and goosebumps appear on my arm,
once music goes on my outside world turns off
Its my scape from this chaotic world,
music is my own little world, it takes me to the unknown,
to a place never seen or heard before,
Im living on cloud 9.
